ROUTE HIGHLIGHTS

Downtown DeKalb

The race will begin and end in Downtown DeKalb. The course will start off near Faranda's and end near Van Buer Plaza where the Post Race Celebration will be held.

NIU Campus

You'll run through Northern Illinois University's campus past Altgeld Hall, Holmes Student Center, Cole Hall, Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center to Huskie Stadium.

Kishwaukee River & Lagoon

After going through Prairie Park you'll run alongside the Kishwaukee River, under the railroad tracks and Lincoln Highway, by way of the new underpass, and come up to the Lagoon.

Huskie Stadium

You'll feel like a Huskie when you run through the End Zone on Brigham Field while the NIU Huskie Marching Band plays.

NIU Steelband

 This year's route goes past the NIU Music Building, where the world renowned NIU Steelband will be preforming. 

Ellwood Historic District

The course will finish off by  passing through the beautiful Ellwood Historic District where you will run past the Ellwood House Museum and Nehring House to the finish in Downtown DeKalb!
