The success of the Corn Fest Races is dependent upon the generous and able assistance of well over 100 volunteers. A dinner meeting is held the Monday prior to the event where some volunteers are recognized for outstanding service. See our Honor Roll page. Dinner is provided, followed by a brief program. Volunteers then meet with their respective area coordinator dependant upon the nature of their assignment. Procedures and instructions are shared to ensure that all volunteers are adequately prepared to perform their specific task. Volunteers receive a special shirt or cap to be worn on race day for the purpose of easy identification. A variety of tasks are listed on the Volunteer Application Form such as set-up the evening before, water distribution, mile timers, Diaper Derby/Toddler Trot, finish line, results, etc. (see form for complete listing).
